THE ISSUE

Despite monumental progress, diversity disparity remains a systemic issue that extends far beyond the space industry. While only 11% of all astronauts in space history have been women, the challenges of inequality and exclusion are mirrored across virtually every field—from STEM to business, art, and beyond. Industries worldwide face similar barriers, including biases in design, underrepresentation in leadership roles, and a lack of accessible pathways for marginalized communities.

In the space industry, these gaps are stark: ill-fitting spacesuits, unequal opportunities, and cultural biases limit progress. But this exclusivity isn’t just a "space problem"—it’s a global problem. Excluding diverse perspectives stifles innovation, perpetuates inequities, and holds humanity back from realizing its full potential.

OUR MISSION

At GISC, we recognize that the need for inclusivity, accessibility, and change doesn’t end at Earth’s orbit. It spans every industry and impacts the lives of women and underrepresented groups worldwide. The demand for transformation is urgent—not just in space, but in fashion, tech, education, and beyond. From designing wearable tech that prioritizes women’s comfort and mobility to creating educational programs like STEMulating Art®, we are committed to bridging the gap between space exploration and cultural empowerment.

THE FUTURE

Our work isn’t just about today; it’s about shaping the future. We envision a world where gender is no barrier to ambition—where every young girl can dream of reaching for the stars or solving tomorrow’s greatest challenges with confidence and creativity. GIRL IN SPACE CLUB’s apparel is more than just clothing; it’s a symbol of empowerment, designed to inspire all, especially women, to step boldly into their power—whether on Earth or beyond.
