limitless creativity

GISC Studio Lab is a dynamic space where art, fashion, design, and engineering converge to reimagine the future of wearable tech and space-inspired fashion.

This is where bold ideas are prototyped, experimental designs come to life, and creativity knows no bounds. Creations span from striking artistic pieces meant to be proudly displayed to innovative prototypes ready to be worn. Every piece is a fusion of innovation and artistry, offering limited-edition, one-of-a-kind expressions of creativity and functionality.

The Evolution of the Flight Suit

Designed at the intersection of innovation and empowerment, our flight suits reimagines traditional flight suits with a focus on comfort and utility.

With input from women in aviation and space, we’ve tackled common issues—like the challenge of bathroom accessibility—while crafting a durable, stylish, and functional design. Made from premium, flexible materials, the suit moves seamlessly between demanding environments and everyday wear, inspiring women to own every space they occupy.

This project is just the beginning of an ambitious journey. Our next goal is to tailor this suit not just for women in space but for everyone—from construction workers to mechanics and everything in between. By designing suits that prioritize inclusivity, functionality, and style, we aim to ensure that everyone feels included, empowered, and ready to take on the challenges of their unique environments. A fusion of artistry, engineering, and empowerment, the Women’s Flight Suit is both a functional prototype and a bold statement, paving the way for a more inclusive future in space exploration and beyond.

Stepping into the future: The Art and Science of Sneaker Design

At the GISC Studio Lab, we’ve explored the art of sneaker design through these exciting projects that blend STEM, creativity, and innovation. The Moon Boot Sneakers began as part of the “Designing for Discovery” activity at the Air and Space Museum, where kids designed their own astronaut boots as a fun and imaginative experience. While this concept served as an artistic activity for STEMulating Art, it also represents a greater ambition for GISC: prototyping and experimenting to create functional astronaut boots for future explorers. On the other hand, the Nike Air Jordan Sneakers project started as a resourceful solution to avoid the high cost of retail Jordans. By investing in a Shoe Surgeon class, we gained the skills to create custom sneakers from scratch. This experience highlights the journey of craftsmanship—from choosing materials to constructing the final product—and demonstrates the power of learning through hands-on design.

Together, these projects showcase how creativity and functionality can work hand-in-hand to turn imaginative concepts into practical, impactful realities.
